VelHRMS VelHRMS

Payroll shouldn't be the scariest week of the month.

Vel HRMS started with a simple observation: most mid-sized companies in India run attendance on one system, payroll on a spreadsheet, and PF compliance in someone's memory. We build the system that lets those three things be the same thing.

How we got here

A short history, honestly told.

  1. Year one

    Built for one payroll admin

The first version had one job: stop a friend's payroll admin from re-typing biometric exports into Excel every month. It handled attendance and nothing else.

  2. Year two

Payroll and PF joined the record

Attendance data is only useful if it changes what people get paid. We added configurable salary structures, late/short-hour deduction rules, and Provident Fund tracking that reads directly off the attendance ledger instead of a second spreadsheet.

  3. Year three

    A portal employees actually use

Self-service stopped being a login page nobody opened once we put payslips, leave balances, and a manual attendance fallback in one place โ€” for the days the biometric device just won't cooperate.

  4. Today

    Still one team, still opinionated

We'd rather ship the deduction rule your finance team actually uses than a hundred settings nobody touches. That's still how we decide what to build next.

What we optimize for

Numbers you can trust

Every payslip traces back to an attendance record and a rule you configured โ€” never a black box.

Nothing waits on IT

When the biometric device fails, HR shouldn't have to file a ticket to run payroll on time.

Compliance by default

PF, PAN and Aadhaar handling follow the rules from day one โ€” not bolted on after an audit.
